TAM applies strict safeguarding standards across staff, volunteers, sponsors, and partners.

Zero-Tolerance Statement

TAM has zero tolerance for abuse, exploitation, harassment, neglect, or any behavior that puts a child or vulnerable adult at risk. All allegations are documented, escalated, and investigated according to policy and applicable law.

Code of Conduct Summary

Expected Standards

  • Respect child dignity, boundaries, and consent requirements.
  • Use approved communication channels only.
  • Follow supervision rules for all child interactions.
  • Report concerns immediately, even when uncertain.

Prohibited Behavior

  • Private unsupervised visits with sponsored children.
  • Exchange of personal contact information without approval.
  • Gifts or money given directly to a child or family outside policy.
  • Any verbal, physical, emotional, or sexual misconduct.

Reporting Procedure

  1. Step 1

    Report Immediately

    Contact TAM safeguarding officer or designated reporting channel.

  2. Step 2

    Document Facts

    Record what was observed, when it occurred, and who was involved.

  3. Step 3

    Escalate & Investigate

    TAM initiates internal escalation and engages legal authorities when required.

  4. Step 4

    Respond & Safeguard

    Immediate protective actions are taken for affected children and families.

Sponsor Visit Rules

  • All visits require pre-approval and scheduling through TAM staff.
  • No one-on-one unsupervised meetings with children.
  • Photography and media follow consent and privacy guidelines.
  • Direct cash or gifts to children/families are not permitted outside policy.

Privacy Policy Note

TAM limits the sharing of child and family identity information to approved ministry purposes and secure communication channels. Personal data is handled according to internal policy and relevant legal requirements.
